1. What these technologies do
Cookies and similar technologies may store or read information on a browser or device. They can support security and core website functions, remember choices, measure use and, where enabled, measure advertising or registrations.
2. Categories
Strictly necessary
These are required for functions such as:
- security, fraud prevention and load balancing;
- authentication and session continuity;
- ticket selection, checkout and payment status;
- remembering a privacy or cookie choice; and
- protecting forms and rate limits.
The service cannot operate properly without these technologies. They should not be used for unrelated advertising.
Functional
These remember optional preferences or enable features such as notifications, attendee experience settings or support tools. If disabled, the related feature may not work.
Analytics
If enabled, analytics technologies such as Google Analytics 4 may collect page, device, referral, interaction and conversion data to measure and improve the website and Event campaigns.
Advertising and conversion measurement
If enabled, Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API may process browser identifiers, IP address, user agent, Event activity and matched contact data. Contact fields sent through Conversions API may be hashed before transmission, but hashing does not necessarily make the data anonymous.
These technologies should remain disabled until the visitor gives any consent required by the PDPA.
3. Providers that may be enabled
The final production notice should list the exact live provider, cookie or storage key, purpose and duration. Current code can support:
- Cradle/GoConference first-party security and session technologies;
- Supabase authentication and application storage;
- Google Analytics 4;
- Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API;
- OneSignal notifications;
- Vercel platform and analytics services; and
- chatbot or support-session technologies.
Providers that are not enabled will be removed before publication, and verified cookie names and lifetimes from the production deployment will be inserted.
4. Your choices
On first visit, the website should offer:
- Accept all
- Reject non-essential
- Manage preferences
No box should be pre-selected for optional categories. A visitor must be able to change or withdraw a choice later through a persistent “Cookie settings” link. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Browser controls may also delete or block cookies, but blocking necessary storage can prevent checkout or login from working.
5. Retention
Each technology should use the shortest practical duration. The production preference centre must state actual lifetimes. Analytics retention should be configured consistently with the Privacy Notice and should not exceed 14 months without documented justification.
6. Contact
Questions about these technologies or personal data may be sent to live@cradle.com.my.
